Black and Blue and Gold is a Pittsburgh sports blog. As such, it covers all local teams, primarily the Penguins, Steelers, and Pitt basketball/football.
My name is Joel Peretic. I recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a certificate in public and professional writing. I interned with KDKA Newsradio and the Pittsburgh Penguins Radio Network and hosted a sports radio show on 92.1 WPTS while at Pitt.
When not writing about sports, I play professional inline roller hockey in the AIHL where I have competed against NHL draft picks and the nation’s best for the past decade.
