Pitt viewed unfavorably on national scale

Jamie Dixon and the Pitt Panthers have twice secured a number one seed in the NCAA tournament over the past four years. Alum DeJuan Blair recorded 50 points and 38 rebounds in the past two NBA rookie/sophomore games. Dave Wannstedt led the football program to their first ten win season since the 1980′s ago and produced Heisman candidates such as Dion Lewis and LeSean McCoy recently. Guys like Larry Fitzgerald and Darrelle Revis are some of the NFL’s bright stars. Yet, Pittsburgh is basically a joke to NCAA fans nationally.

The guys over at Cardiac Hill took a look at the national perception of Pitt and examine where the Panthers should be ranked.
