Former recruit Bond developing outside game

In a recruiting class that included McDonald’s All-American Khem Birch, Jaylen Bond may have been the most athletic player. His highlight-reel dunks, 6’6″ frame, and ability to put the ball on the floor had Panther fans excited. The problem with Bond’s game is that it was raw. He needed to develop and outside shot and more diversity before graduating from potential-star-recruit to top-50 recruit. Instead of rushing into the college game, Bond de-committed from the Panthers and enrolled in prep school.

Slam Magazine recently sat down with Bond and asked him how he changed his game since de-committing from Pitt.

If Bond continues to polish his game he could easily crack the top-50 ceiling. Unfortunately, he likely will not return to Pitt. He has re-opened his recruiting and has not shown much interest in the Panthers.
