After 11 Big East teams squeezed into last year’s NCAA tournament the Conference was tagged as possibly the best ever. Not much will change in 2011-12. Today, the 16-team league announced the pairings for next season.

Teams on the Panthers away schedule include the NCAA champion UConn Huskies, Big East second-place finishing Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and possible favorite Louisville Cardinals. There are no easy games in the Big East, but facing those three opponents on the road is definitely no favor to Jamie Dixon’s squad. Combined, the Panthers are 4-8 against Louisville and Notre Dame since the 2006-07 season.
