The trio of Pitt players waiting to hear their names called on Thursday night for the NBA Draft are still waiting. Gilbert Brown, Gary McGhee, and Brad Wanamaker all will have to earn their way into the NBA as undrafted free agents.
John Grupp with the Pitt Panthers Blog over at Trib Total Media has the story.
The Pitt senior’s strikeout was part of the Big East’s bad night as a whole. Total, the Conference only had three players selected. If there is bright spot for the Panthers, it is that 13 International players were picked. Often times, foreign players either decide not to play in the NBA or don’t pan out. There will be roster spots available at the start of training camp next season–whenever that may be.
