It used to be that Iowa or Notre Dame was the highlight of the out-of-conference schedule. Now, the Panthers will see both–and Utah. A chance to avenge last year’s overtime loss to the Utes and 23-17 defeat at the Irish’s hands are welcome. Pitt has not played the Hawkeyes since an epic 21-20 victory at Heinz Field in 2008. The non-conference slate has been pegged as one of the best in the country.

Todd Graham’s new style combined with an early arrival of the Dana Holgorsen rivalry and a top-notch OOC schedule will make for an exciting season. Perhaps, Pitt will exceed expectations this year.
